A Keegan Ales Halloween Extravaganza
Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 9:40PM This weekend we braved the "historic" snowfall to take a beer trip up the Hudson Valley. Starting with Saturday lunch at the Hyde Park Brewing Company, we continued to a pitstop at the Culinary Institute of America, followed by some relaxation at our AirBnB home base. Undeterred by the snowfall, we headed to Keegan Ales' annual Halloween Bash. Of course, we didn't have costumes (didn't plan!), but that didn't stop us from having a great time.
Scroll through the pictures from the party by clicking on the arrows:
On the way back on Sunday, after stocking up on fresh produce at the Rhinebeck Farmers' Market, we had a late lunch at the Peekskill Brewery, new home of Jeff O'Neill, formerly of Ithaca Beer Company.
Look for a recap of the great beers we enjoyed, but for now, enjoy the show!
Cheers,

Thanks for sharing the great pictures! Maybe you missed him, but we had a make-up artist from The Headless Horseman set up to airbrush anybody into a zombie who might not have had a costume. Next time be prepared. Costumes are ALWAYS mandatory at the Keegan Ales Halloween Party! Thanks again. Hope to see you here again soon.

You have some great spots on this tour. I've been to both breweriesin the last month and reviewed them on my blog. I run a Craft Beer Meetup Group and we visited Peekskill last month. Could you do an event at one of our local bars here in Rockland county? Might make a good meetup. Mike
Thank you both for the comments!
Tommy, we did see the make-up artist -- that was an awesome idea. We'll definitely be visiting the brewery again in the future. We had a blast.
Mike, I sent you an email a couple weeks ago -- not sure if you received it.
